Il Nido Winery Piazza · Hardscape Improvements · Louisville, Kentucky
The lower level of the early-1900’s historic barn was repurposed as the estate’s winery in conjunction with the art studio and guest house renovations. Maintaining the existing stone retaining wall as the focal point, the developed piazza doubles as a service yard for wine production and an event space for outdoor entertaining. A pervious concrete grid with gravel fill alternates with solid concrete paving to accommodate heavy equipment traffic while controlling water run-off.
