Jennifer is a licensed Architect in California and Kentucky and a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C). Jennifer holds a Masters in Architecture from UCLA, a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, and has participated as an adjunct faculty member at the Woodbury School of Architecture in Burbank, CA. Jennifer previously served on the LADOT Pedestrian Advisory Committee as an appointed member from Council District 4 and was an active member of the Vision Plan Sub-Committee of the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council.
Before founding JCA, Jennifer was a Senior Associate at Rios Clementi Hale Studios, an award-winning architecture and landscape architecture firm based in Los Angeles. With RCH Studios, Jennifer had leading roles in commercial, residential and institutional projects such as the Woodbury University School of Architecture studio building, the Westfield Century City food court and shopping center improvements, and the renovation of John Lautner’s Familian House in Beverly Hills.
Jennifer Charles founded Jennifer Charles Architecture in 2009 with the conviction that engaging design should be a vital part of every community. Bringing her depth of design experience and technical knowledge to each project, Jennifer works closely with the client and project team to deliver a carefully developed and detail oriented environment.
