4 Months 40 States and You Picked Where? · Travel Journal · Louisville, KY
In April 2008, Jennifer Charles and her husband left Los Angeles on an adventure that included traveling to Japan and Thailand before embarking on a 4-month road trip around the United States to search for a new city to live in. On this trip they sent e-mails to 200 friends and family updating their status and sharing their experiences.
Combining these e-mails with photographs and other trip facts, Jennifer produced a zine documenting their trip. The cover announces their new Louisville home: 4 Months 40 States and You Picked Where? and was designed and letterpress printed in collaboration with Hound Dog Press. Jennifer used data collected on the trip to formulate the centerfold travel graph, which visually portrays their journey. Limited Edition of 200; 7 x 8.5 format.
